Refund Policy

1. No Refunds Policy

All subscription payments for Kwata Career Pro are final and non-refundable. Once a payment is processed through our Merchant of Record (Dodo Payments), we do not offer refunds for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Unused portion of a subscription period
  • Dissatisfaction with the Platform or its features
  • Failure to cancel before a renewal date
  • Unused career analysis or chat credits
  • Dissatisfaction with AI-generated content quality
  • Changes in personal circumstances or career needs
  • Service interruptions or temporary unavailability

We strongly encourage all users to start with our free Starter plan (3 career analyses, no credit card required) to fully evaluate the Platform before upgrading to Pro.

2. Cancel Anytime

You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time with no questions asked and no cancellation fees. To cancel:

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again after cancellation is processed. No partial refunds are issued for the remaining days in your billing cycle.

3. Access Until Billing Period Ends

When you cancel your Pro subscription:

  • You retain full access to all Pro features until the end of your current billing cycle
  • After your billing period expires, your account automatically reverts to the free Starter plan
  • Your data, saved career analyses, cover letters, and resumes remain accessible on the Starter plan
  • Unused career analysis and chat credits do not carry over between billing periods and are forfeited upon expiration
  • You may re-subscribe at any time at the then-current pricing

4. Billing Through Dodo Payments

All payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record. This means:

  • Dodo Payments handles all payment processing, tax calculation, invoicing, and regulatory compliance
  • We never see, access, or store your credit card or payment information
  • Dodo Payments provides enterprise-grade fraud protection and secure payment handling
  • Invoices, receipts, and tax documentation are sent directly by Dodo Payments
  • Payment disputes are handled in accordance with Dodo Payments's policies

5. Free Plan

Our Starter plan is entirely free and includes 3 career analyses with full AI features. No payment information is required to use the free plan. Since no payment is collected for free accounts, no refund situation applies.

6. Exceptions

We may review billing issue requests on a case-by-case basis for the following situations only:

  • Duplicate charges: If you were charged more than once for the same billing period due to a technical error
  • Technical billing errors: If a system error caused an incorrect charge amount

To request a review of a billing issue, you must contact us within 14 days of the charge at career@kwatateam.com with your account email, the date of the charge, and a detailed description of the issue. We reserve the right to approve or deny any billing issue request at our sole discretion.

7. Chargebacks and Disputes

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider instead of contacting us first, we reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate your account and pursue any available legal remedies. We encourage you to contact us directly to resolve any billing concerns before initiating a chargeback.

8. Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect for existing subscribers. If you do not agree with a price change, you may cancel your subscription before the new pricing takes effect.
